Are you looking for aircraft certification, or pilot RVSM?
As far as I know the RVSM for the aircraft is all maint. paperwork, and a certification test kind of like a pitot static test is done. We had ours done last time through heavy maint.
Had RVSM this past recurrent and it still all pertained to intl. ops. I don't think the FAA has quite figured out what to do about domestic training....if anything.
If you know something I don't, please share, because so far the feds aren't much help. And nobody at Flight Safety had a clue as to what they were going to do about next March.
Now this is me with a random thought.......... If the avionics and auto pilot are certified to be accurate above FL 290 using the new RVSM criteria........then why can't we just fly them like we do now below 290, above 290??!!
Nahhh thats too simple, I must be leaving out a red tape factor!
