Just a quick question to verify something, I got my permanet FAA card today for my latest type. On my temp it says DA2000, on the card it say DA-20, the Falcon 100-200 series carries the designation FA-10,FA-20 right?

Thanks in advance P3

DA-20 is the certificate designation for the Falcon 20. FA20 is the ATC equipment designator. I would have thought the certificate would read DA-2000.

I just checked the FAA database and I have a buddy that flys a 2000. It is listed as DA-2000 also. Might want to check with the FAA.

Better get that staightened out, since DA-20 is the Falcon 20 type.

I would go back to the training facility that gave you the type and see if they can rectify this, since they may need to re-submit the paperwork to the FAA.

Good luck.

Actually it appears that the error is in Oak City. They do make errors from time to time, even if they say they do not. Personally, I would go to the FSDO with my training records, the temp and the permanent certificate. You will need all three to get this sorted out. I don't know if the training facility can get this corrected or not.

I had a rating omitted from my certificate once when I received the permanent in the mail. I called OK City and within five minutes a lady down there found my paperwork and the missing rating and faxed a copy of a temp certificate. I would go that way first, since they are the ones that issue the certs and cuts out all of the middlemen.

That's what I did, called the company first, then called OK City. The nice lady there looked up my record, saw the error of there way and said they would rectify the mistake. ie: new certif in the mail. In the mean time, anybody need a DA-20 typed pilot ? I'll be glad to help out.

Now that is funny!

Of course that will pay at the DA-20 rate too, not that high dollar DA-2000 rate. There's always a catch.

Same thing happened to me. Oak City made the mistake. After I got my Falcon 50 rating I got my "hard card" in the mail and my Falcon 200 (DA-200) turned into DA-2000 (Falcon 2000). I wish I was typed in the 2000, since there is only 30 something Falcon 200s in the world and there are a ton of Falcon 2000s but instead I called and they fixed the problem.
