Back in the early 70's I came in possession of a "Falcon code" kneeboard card. I assumed, due to the name, it was produced by a USAF type. They were quite popular among members of the Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club.

The card assigned code numbers to a whole list of things we would like to say over the UHF. Being "mildly" inappropriate we would substitute the code number(e.g.-Falcon 109) for what we really wanted to say. One of my personal favorites was: "Pardon me sir but you must be mistaking me for someone who gives a sh!t."

I saved one of the cards for posterity but somehow I have lost track of it over the years. Anyone here old enough to know what I am talking about? Better yet, does anyone have a copy of it?

We used Falcon Codes in the Med in the late 60's and early 70's. There was a lot of improvising on new Falcon Codes like Falcon 106B/2. We always thought since in was plain language that for a while the Soviet intell types were having a field day.

I'll look for my copy, just haven't seen it in ohhhh, say 20 years or so.

My squadron CC gave me one he modified a little bit for OIF a few months back, but I kinda thought it was gay so I shredded it--I could ask him for another one tho...

All you need is google.
