I am in the process of interviewing to fly a Falcon 900 EX in the midwest. It seems like a cool airplane and was curious as to what people out there who fly it think of it. What are some long routes you have done in it? Also, what ballpark pay figures can one expect for FO and Captain positions? Thanks

The 900EX is my first jet. I think it's pretty cool...god it sucks to be me...

900EX is an excellent aircraft. I have about 500 hours in it, we do alot of international. It's a great airplane for Europe, Eastern Europe is a little of a stretch. Falcon advertises it as a 10 hour a/c, but it really only does 8.5-9.0 (LRC)comfortably. We've had crews do a couple 9.3 hour trips, but they really had to bastardize the flight plan. To stretch it past 9 you have to start low and at M.72, work your way up in speed and alt...even then best you can do in LRC is M.77. When you hit the 9 hr mark is usually easier to fuel stop and do M.80/M.82. with the quick turn added in, your flight times will be within 15 mins of eachother. Best i've done is Geneva - HPN (NY) 8.3 hours M.77 landed with 3300 lbs, which is about 1.5 hr fuel reserve. EX holds 21000 lbs, but you don't want to fill it up unless you have to. Anything below 18K and you'll have no problem going to 390 or 410.

We also go to Asia alot with our 900EX..not the best airplane for that area. HPN to ANC, fuel/crew change, ANC to Osaka, thento Hong Kong thats around 11 hours.

I think its a great airplane, but it can get a little small and uncomfy on the long hauls.

900 PIC in the NY area should be around 120K and north, not sure where the SIC start...I started at 80K as SIC, but my company is notoriously cheap.
