I am looking for the least expensive location with the possible use or help in obtaining WIA funding for the Falcon 50EX.

Any and all locations, experiences with facilities/training events will be appreciated.

Jeff

Got a little something lined up there Jeff? Good luck and let me know if I can help.

TH:D

Jeff,
And for that $24k you get a free lunch on Wednesday and all the bagels you want each morning. :p
Seriously though Falcon Capt. is correct, FSI at TEB is the only place in the states for 50EX training. You could go to Simuflite for a straight 50 Type but you won't get the EX stuff there. (They'll tell you they can do a diff's class but you won't have an EX sim to train on) I just finished EX diff's at FSI after flying a straight 50 for nearly 5 years and I was still behind the power curve for the first couple weeks working with the new FMS and all the glass. A lot of money to plunk down but in my opinion its the right way to do it.
Finally to answer your question, I would call client services at FSI and ask them specifically about WIA funding. They should have some answers for you. If not, then PM me and I'll ask a buddy who does some part-time work there if he can find out.
Good Luck, its a sweet ride.

Thanks for the responses.

Now if I could just the WIA to pony up the dough.

I have had the free lunches at FSI; I've had better.

thats bull**CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** about free lunches.

FSI/TEB/WIA

Jeff,
Having intimate knowledge of FSI/TEB, I can say that as of this date, they DO NOT participate in WIA training! I have tried in the past to get management involved in WIA training, but no luck.

I'm not sure why, it could/would add alot to their bottom line. I do know that FSI/ILG DOES participate in WIA training on the GIV. You might try there....

Gumby,

I've heard, for what it's worth, FSI/ILG has been burned by the WIA for not paying so they don't honor it anymore. I've looked at the NJPIN site and it still lists FSI/ILG but a guy I know tried it and they told him to Naff Off.

Counselair:(

WIA and FSI

My experience is that of Counselair. I trained it FSI at ILG on the HS-125. I asked about the WIA for a recurrent event and they weren't interested due to some none-payment situations from others that had trained pending funds that never arrived.

I appreciate all the responses. It looks like F50 at DFW and F50EX at TEB. Good luck on pricing and funding!

Myself and another pilot attended SimuFlite over a year ago on WIA's tab. Works very smooth. If you're unable to go the FSI route, call SimuFlite, they will be more than helpful.
