Yow, check this out. 7000 hours for an SIC gig. I guess that's where the market is these days, but pretty soon, the only guy that anybody will hire will be Chuck Yeager!

Maybe this will help somebody out there, good luck!

Falcon 50 SIC (IL) 7/29

DB Aviation, Inc., is seeking to hire a Falcon 50 SIC. DB Aviation is a Part 135 operation but also flying Part 91 and is located at the Waukegan, Illinois airport (an easy commute from Chicago or SE Wisconsin). Job involves extensive travel. Minimum requirements include: 7000 hours Total Time, 3500 hours in the Falcon 50, and qualified to fly both FAR 91 and 135. Type rating preferred. Competitive salary and excellent benefits, including 401(k). Only qualified applicants need apply. Reply in confidence to: DB Aviation, Inc., Attn: HR Dept., 3550 N. McAree Road, Waukegan, IL 60087 or fax resume to (847) 336-6584 or email [email protected]. Please indicate that you are applying for the Falcon 50 SIC position. No phone calls, please. Be sure to mention AvCrew.com when applying.

7,000 total (plus type preferred) to be a gear b!tch on a frog-jet, how nice!

Oh and not to mention 3500 hrs in the freaking jet itself, wait what else… a current 8410 most likely…

>>> Job involves extensive travel…. No fuc&!ng $h!t?!?!?!?!

>>>Competitive salary… well maybe, at least they ain’t begging for you to pay for recurrent at FSI or…

>>>Only qualified applicants need apply… why hell, no problem!

>>>Please indicate that you are applying for the Falcon 50 SIC position.

Oh really, why hell, with those quals I might be applying for commander of the **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**ing space shuttle or something?

Yeah, next they'll be looking for a chief pilot:

Falcon 50 Chief Pilot, 91/135. Minimum requirements, 30,000 hours total time, 20,000 minimum PIC in Falcon 50. Command time in NASA space shuttle program given credit (only if more than 3,000 hours commander, space flight only).

Hopefully these won't soon become the norm in minimum requirements for an SIC position (or PIC for that matter). Hopefully, however, someone will benefit and land this job.

Regards,

No kidding, I have been flying the Falcon 50/900 for over 5 years now and only have about 2,500 hours combined time in type! I guess I don't qualify either!

Our minimums are way lower than this and we are a Part 91 only Fortune 100 company!

Oh Well!

B.S.

If you have 3500 hrs. in type with no type rating then something is wrong with you.
I think it was a typo, meant to be 500 hrs.

It is great that people post job info in here, but there are so many threads and discussions on this board - makes is easy to miss a good post.

I mentioned in one of the threads a while ago that I saw a web site out there that runs a board where everyone can post and view jobs: http://www.avianation.com/avox/showjobs.cfm

I just thought that may be we can put those jobs up there - makes it a lot easier to look for stuff.

2000flyer - you mentioned you were going to check them out. What's your take?

mvoughn4x,

I've been meaning to check them out, just been too busy. This is my fourth day at home this month and I leave Monday for six more days. Hopefully after that I'll have a chance.

Thanks for asking!
