My boss has toyed with the idea of buying a Falcon 200, although I don't know how serious he is. Does anybody here have experience with the airplane?

You are better off with a Falcon 20F-5 retrofit...

The engine is the weak part of the aircraft. It is basicly an orphan. MSP is mandatory with this engine. Take a look at the resale values of the F200 and the F20-5. Late model 20's with the 731 mod sell for much more than the 200. That should tell you something.

Might be time for you to tell the boss that you've been toying with the idea of running his business. When he finally picks himself up off the ground from laughing his a$$ off you can then tell him thats exactly the picture he would've seen when he presented the notion of purchasing a DA-200.
Seriously though, the Coast Guard has first dibs on all the engines for the 200 so if you ever need a rental you'll probably be up the proverbial creek. The 20
F-5 is really the better choice IMHO.

Ok..... The falcon 200 is a great airplane!!! It's a Falcon!! I flew sn 479. The engine problems have been solved with the silver bullet mod, and it's a hell of alot more airplane than a retrofit... It carries almost 10,000 lbs of gas which is more than the F model 20 which is 9100 lbs.. It has Falcon 50 systems in it which are great! Now for the cons.... It burns almost as much fuel the first hour as the 900 Im flying now. The MSP cost about $340 an hour per engine.. Rental engines are not a problem either!! Garrett still has engines available... And the ATF engine gurue still works for garrett. I think its a great airplane.. Oh almost forgot!! There is only one person in the world that can give the type rating!! No simulator training... You train in the airplane. Unless your insurance company wants you to train in the 50 sim for systems. Good luck....

Tell me what is good about not sim training? (Besides 4 days of your life that you will never get back?)

The idea is to push you not take care of the airplane. I did my 1st type ride in the actual airplane. It was not until I went to the sim that I realized how F'd up this way of training was. IMHO

there is nothing good about not sim training.... I was stating the fact that there is not a falcon 200 sim available to do sim training...
