Our college freshman wasn't TOO familiar with the airline industry, otherwise he could have made it a lot more believeable!

I like that Avitar, I always thought the COD was a cool plane, the jets and cool and pretty, but something about that turbo prop trapping on the deck that just looks cool.

Yes, the COD (or the E-2 for that matter) is a great plane to land on the carrier. It's the only plane where you don't go to max thrust in the wires because the amount of torque produced at high power would cause it to drift left and out of the landing area. We also come in the slowest (about 105-110 kts) not counting the helo's.

Read up on Frank Lorenzo and how he and a friend started up Jet Capital Corporation after he graduated from the Harvard Business School. Six years later, at age 32, Frank was president of Texas Air. Et cetera. Et cetera.

Also read up on the Family Airlines debacle.

The kid has potential.
