Does anyone know if the FAA has implemented changing the answers around on the required written tests to where you can't remember just A, B, C for a particular question. Because if they have retaking my ATP written is gonna SUCK and if not then I better start studying before they do...Thanks a lot

My experience has been that the FAA is always tweaking their ATP Exam, adding new questions every now and then. So my guess is after 2 years you will see new or different looking questions this time around.

Yes they have started switching around the A, B, and C answers.

Study and you wont have a prob.

Skeezer

took the ATP a few weeks ago.

Just lock yourself up for 2 days; skip the performance & W&B and walk out with a smile on your face.

Yes, it sucks, but you have to do it one day....

I used dauntless software and it was great

Why would you go through the trouble of memorizing letters? Just read the question and read the answer. Go through the whole book minus the W&B and Performance sections a couple of times. VOILA! Answers memorized, test passed.

Took the ATP a few weeks ago, studied everything except the performance and the IFR flight planning section, got a 89%. Anyway you look at it, the FAA did a great job of taking probably the most important license, the ATP and creating the most worthless test they could have come up with. Good luck but don't waste to much time on it.

I agree with tattoo13 100% The test is a total waste. Especially if you already fly for a 121 carrier. I took mine on monday and got an 86. I went through the Gleim except for 135 rules, W+B, and performance. The IFR flights are easy enough to memorize, just break it down by airplane and Mach numbers. Be careful, because I did notice that a few answers were switched around, so don't go flying through the test. I just guessed on a couple of W+B questions. Some of the performance problems are fairly easy to work through. Good luck!
