Im not to sure but I dont know of any health insurance plan that covers FAA medicals.

Dr. David Williams, Delk Rd, Marietta.

770-955-2046

All it cost me was the co-pay. And almost 3 hours of my time.

Shamrock,

Whay did it take that long??? Have you got a medical this year? I have been told that UHC doesn't pay for that anymore.

Thanks

they would pay if there was a proper code on the bill, problem is there is no code for that unless the Dr.'s office will use a code for something other than FAA Med. Beautiful system.

Just got my check from UHC for $143.50 for a $220 bill from Kaufman for the First Class with Echocardiogram. So they don't pay all of it, but code it as a wellness visit and you get something.

UHC wants you to get preventitive care, some sort of physical monitoring. A Flight Physical was not what they had in mind, but it literally "fits the bill".

My Dorktor says its fraud to claim it as a wellness visit, because the Medical is a exam by the FAA, not a physical by your primary doctor. Regardless, of if you would go to this doctor on a normal sick visit.

I even printed the online sheet from My UHC.com that shows under your benefits what is coverd by copay. It says in plain english that they will cover the FAA medical if you code it as a Wellness visit.

He refuses, and claim its wrong and fraud.

Like I said he's a dorktor.

Medeco

Fins, I paid 150.00 with an Eco, so I'm not so sure he is such a deal.

Medeco, sounds like it's time to get a new doc.

I second Dr. Williams on Delk road. $15.00 with an EKG and a free "happy shot"
