Hey guys i just saw this movie and was currios if the crew made it out? Its hard to make out if the front guy made it out and the back seater doesnt look like he hand enough time for the shout to open..

Neither dude made it. I had just flown several test missions with the front seater a couple of weeks prior. Great dude. Airline guy on an extended MLOA. Test pilot school grad. His family was at the Point Mugu airshow when it happened.

Backseater was a Marine just riding along. At Point Mugu, we used to do 'blower' breaks (afterburner). Arrive for the overhead to Rwy 27 and land 21. They had catastrophic engine failure at the same time they staged the afterburners (you can see debris coming out the back end). Unfortunately, aircraft departed and they ejected out of the envelope and suffered from 'sudden loss of occupiable space'.
