Just looked at their website - the pay offer looks very slim for Hong Kong - I have friends who are FO's in HK earning much more than they are offering for a command.

Gidday G100 - long time

I can't say for certain what the going rate in HK is except that when you factor in COL in hong Kong and SOL it needs to be alot higher than home.

Also my friends earning 150k+ [excluding housing allowances etc] tell me they are strugling to get by- and they are not extragavant guys - meat n potatoes types if you know what i mean.

You have to live to work NOT the other way round.

Note also NO UNION or JOB PROTECTION - if they want to change your contract - THEY CAN - and do.

Its not the best allowance I agree. But at least higher than some of the airlines over there...paying 0, nil.
I refer to HK Express in this case. Although my knwledge might be outdated....

Also, check pprune.org in the "Fragrant Harbor" section.

Because of the pollution, HKG isn't the best place to live these days. TC

P.S.--Kiwi: How are things going? We're doing fine. Take care.

Hi TC doing ok - not too much flying - Summer is on it's way.
