I just heard a story that cracked me up...the Air Force at one time had a mandatory training video about the effects of fast, low-flying aircraft on turkeys. Does anybody out there have a copy of that, or remember it? I'd love to see it...!

I saw it once -- I think back in UPT.

The gun that was used to shoot the frozen turkeys was nicknamed the "Rooster Booster".

No, that film was about the effects of turkeys on low flying aircraft. This film was about the effects of low flying aircraft on turkeys. Seems some farmer near Seymous Johnson AFB was having his turkeys traumatized by the local F-4 Phantom population. As part of the settlement, the AF was required to create a training video on the subject.

I'm told the end product was put together by a real Mutt 'n' Jeff pair of an F-4 crew...thick redneck accents, standing amid a thousand turkeys: "yore about t' see the ee-fect of 'n F-4E, at point nahn fahv Mach...here she somes!" The Phantom comes tearing over, and all the turkeys' heads pop straight up in the air, and Mutt 'n' Jeff do their best to match the birds' reactions...

Hilarious stuff, I'm told.
