My eyes are blueish/greenish, blue on some days and green on others. I just got my medical renewed and realized that this medical states blue eyes and the previous two medicals state green eyes(I've had three medicals total). The AME says he can't make the change and that it needs to be made with the FAA. Is this considered a falsification of records? Should I contact the FAA and have the change noted, or is it not worth worrying about?

Your AME already recommended that you contact the FAA regarding the matter. Have you received better counsel from someone more qualified, since that time?

Falsification is when something is submitted officially, which is known to be false. Not only which is false, but which you know to be false. Fraud is when you do it with the intent of gain or to knowingly deceive (gaining medical certification, for example).

In this case, you did not knowingly submit incorrect information, nor did you knowingly submit incorrect information with the intent of deception or gain.

No I have not contacted anyone aside from the AME. Thanks for the clarification. My pilot certificate also indicates green. When I take my commercial checkride this summer I'm concerned the DPE will notice the discrepancy between the medical and the certificate. I have not yet located an FAR that addresses this issue.
