I think everyone that made it through a phone interview is waiting for a senior recruiter to call.... I was told 60-90 days. Given the fact that there is 120 new pilots positions on januarys' perm bid, I would expect that to be shorter but there is no tellin'

I know they are still cancelling flights for lack of crews and the reserves are flying most every day!

Hopefully by the end of January...

I have a friend who is a Captain flying 135 and he told me he was called last night in the eveining by Express Jet Recruiter. He mentioned to me that he sent his resume about 3 weeks ago and they just called him last night and they wanted to know how much time he had and if he was current. Once he told the recruiter he was current and had over 2000 hours they said to him to fill out the on line application, and a senior recruiter will call him back very soon, and that once they call, they will do another mini interview on the phone than if they like him they will immediately call him in for a interview. The recruiters stated to him that the mins are 1500TT and 500mutli.

you should be filling out the online app at www.expressjet.com...

Not sure where the sending a resume thing came from but they have hired an outside company for screening...

Well here's the thing... I faxed a resume to them earlier this week and I got a call from a lady yesterday. She told me that she was calling in regards to my resume and to fill out the online application. After completing it, I will get a call back within a week for a telephone interview. However, I got an email back from the online questionaire saying that they don't need anybody with my my qualifications and skills. I don't get why she called me then.

Any thoughts ???

If your profile is accurate, I would guess that the 400 total time is the problem. That is .4k right.... they want 1500 and 500...

XJT will be hiring at least 300 pilots this year and probably the same next year. The dam has burst

Where did the 300 number come from? I was thinking more like 150-200 since there is 120 added on the january bid (good for 6 months)...

The reason for the large hiring numbers is because we arent hiring only to cover Continental Furloughs going back to CAL, we are also growing right now. Put the two together and badda bing, you got staffing issues. XJet doesnt really know what CAL's going to do on a day by day month by month basis, they tend to keep our management in the dark until they announce something....so we are just hanging on for the ride.

Well, 300 sounds good to me!

Any speculation as to when the interviews are going to start? I am guessing late Jan/early Feb, since they have to get line pilots in on the interview process....

Yes, the .4K is 400 total, but that's why I am surprised why they gave me a call back. I know they, just like any other regional, want about 1500/500. But I was just curious why the call with only 400 total?
