A good friend of mine who is a pilot at ExpressJet told me they're going to pickett IAH during the Super Bowl weekend. He said that negotiations between ALPA and managemnet have taken a turn for the worse. If anyone knows if they're going to allow pilots from other airlines to join in, post the info here. I'd be willing to fly in from MEM to help out.

Thank you very much for the support! I'll find out & post here. Here we go . . .

BAM!

As Emeril L would say....It's time to spice it up a little bit! Lets turn up the heat a notch!. Thanks for the support!

:D

And who do you fly for you stinkin dirt farmer. Maybe if the industry had the support that Express jet pilot always give then an industry leading contract would be in the bag.

Wait I'll bet you work for MESA.

I'm just a 135 puke, but Coex is where I want to be. You guys just tell me what to write on my sign and what to wear. I'm there.

It is my understanding that the informational picketting to be done will be in very small groups, about four pilots in each. The message will be very focused and non-threatening. I haven't heard any official words, but it's my guess that the picketting will only include ExpressJet and Continental pilots for now. In the future if a larger show of support is needed, I'm sure pilots from other airlines will be ecouraged to help out.

Here's the official word:

YES!!!! Pilots from other airlines are MORE than welcome to come support us and walk with us. Tell your friends to come on down!

They will need to comply with all the same stuff (i.e. uniform, breifing, etc.).

Take care!

Can I bring my Donkey?
Only if you guys are performing a donkey show. make sure you grease your A$$. An A$$ doing your A$$ that should be plenty of entertainment form us.

what about non pilots who work for xjt...what can we do? Are we talking delayed flts or just picketing?

It's informational picketing so there should be no operational impact. I'll email the powers that be again to ask about non-pilot ExJet employees walking, or at least helping in some way. I'll post the response here.

Back to the top........

My buddy said things seem to be going to **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**....The company walked away from the table???? Yet express has one of the highest completion rates out there. Its been what 3 years in the making?? The days of patty cake are over at express jet.

Expressjet reported over 1 billion in revenue for 2003.

Expresjet netted over 100 million dollars in profit for 2003.
(this includes a one-time credit of $100,000 to COMPUSA for all of those red ink printer cartridges that were returned this year).

Expressjet's debt to CAL will be P.I.F. by the end of 2004.

I guess it's true, you can't get blood from a turnip.
