Does anyone know, is ExJet interviewing and hiring for the spring or are they not interviewing at all right now? I know they are planning on having classes in april just wasn't sure if they were interviewing for those yet. Thanks

Interviewing and hiring into a pool right now. Next class is supposed to be in April but that could always change.

Ok, thanks. When they hire you into a pool, they basically tell you that you have a job, but will let you know at a later time when ground school is? Is that correct?
Thanks

That's it. I was in the pool for about two months. They called me about 2-1/2 weeks before class to tell me about the date.

Yea still interviewing and hiring. The plan is April, but my guess(and alot of others) is it will be sooner. We still have CA's leaving(20-30 a month) and no upgrade classes in the works. CA's coverage is very short while FO's is very fat. As soon as things get spun up again, the pool will empty out fast. It will be worth it, dont go to someplace else if this is where you want to work.

I wouldnt be surprised to see the next newb class in March instead of April. Lots of CA leaving and getting called for interviews left and right. Movement should stay strong at XJT. Good luck

Yeah, you can look forward to being pissed off at CHQ every day you go to work if you fly out of IAH. It just sounds awesome to be that disgruntled.

The gouge from aviation interviews is still right on. Dont be a tool and make sure your paperwork/logbook is correct. When I interviewed almost 2 years ago one guy was pulled out of the group of 32 within the first 5 mins and was never to be seen again, most likely a paperwork issue. When you get your packet try to put everything in order(and stapled), but also bring 3 of everything extra so that you can make up an extra packet or two really quickly if you need to. When you go talk to the people, just relax and have a good time and they will appreciate it. Dont blow smoke up their asses, the people who do interviews are really good people. When you go in for your HR interview you never know who your gonna get. Anybody from the VP of crew planning(Peter S.) to the VP of flight ops(George S.), hell maybe one of the Jim's might be there that day. They are all really great people who have nothing but the best intentions for everything. If you try to give them a B.S. canned answer, they will call you on it. If they ask you why do you want to work here and your answer is "I want to be based on the west coast", then tell them that. If it is because "I want to work for the most respected regional in the country", tell them that. Best contract, Mgmt, work rules, training center, FA's(hahahahahahhaha), crew meals, out stations, etc... tell them the truth.

HA! CHQ comming to IAH was the best thing that ever happened to me. They moved the base to my home and my QOL went up 200%. The company added a couple hundred captains and FO's to the seniority list. There might be a few guys still pissed about it but they are pissed about everything.
