Where have most newhires been getting based in the last couple of months? I'm assuming LA but are any getting SAT or IAH?

0 in my class went to LAX. And mine was the first of the 4 class bid cycle.

LAX is "properly staffed" allegedly, though I don't believe it.

A bunch went to every domicile in the system, believe it or not. Except LAX.

My best friend just finished IOE. He got Houston, some got Cleveland, and others went to Newark, LA, and ONT

Regardless of what base you are assigned you would be based where you want within 3 months. You also don't get your base assignment until about 3-4 weeks into class, so I wouldn't say in the interview that you aren't interested in the job unless you can have one of those 2 bases.

A new hire told me that a percentage of his class got CLE. fwiw.

Count on LAX. Many junior F/Os recently bid out of LAX on the last perm bid which will be going into effect in a few months. EWR might be the toughest base to get intially with the decrease in lines but there is still a lot of movement so any base you want you will get soon.

I think SAT is actually the hardest to get into right now. Who knows how the next perm bid will go, but on the last one 8 FO's left(not sure about CA's) and nobody was put in their place. Alot of mid seniority FO's bid it and didnt get it.

Don't count on anything they are going to put you where the need you, which changes daily. However you will get the base you want in about three months when they have a perm bid.
