A pretty simple question on the flight time grid for the phase 3 interview:

For section 1, Multi-Engine, there are boxes for PIC and SIC time for six different aircraft.
These get summed up at the end.

There is no provision in the grid for time that was acquired when not rated in the aircraft (dual only).

So the question is: Has anybody had any issues during the interview when the two times (Totals by columns) and total Multi-Engine differ? Total multi-engine time is going to be greater than the 'totals by column' if one includes the non PIC/SIC training time.

Thanks!

Flight Grid

I put each of my 4 aircraft in the ME (top) grid as PIC and SIC only, but then put my total ME as "Total Multi-Engine" with the words "(includes student time)" underneath the words "Total Multi-Engine:" That accounted for my dual time and the columns did not add up to the total.

The single-engine time is not broken down by PIC or SIC so your day and night numbers should add up to your total.

As long as you are honest about what you put down and can explain it when questioned you should have no problem. They didn't question my rationale and I was hired.

Hope this helps and good luck on your interview.
