I "searched" the site and there's not much...

Other than deporting 2 illegal alien pilots...

Anyone know what kind of schedules they're flying? I hear pay is $50 hr and 60 hr guarantee. Is there premium over guarantee, per diem, etc, etc?

Are you chained to the yoke?

Is the schedule 30 and 30?

We operate 10 Airbus A300 in the US for Emery and 1 For Cathay Pacific between Tokyo and Hong Kong. We also have 5 B722F on various missions emery, horse charters....! excellent company to work for, and ok pay, 1st year FO probat. pay $50.00 hr with a 56 hr guarantee, 2nd year $59.50 and 60 hr guarantee. $10.00 override per flight hour for international. Our Per diem is $42.00 a day domestic and $60.00 international($76.00 a day in ASIA). We are all homebased with a 16 days on 12 off schedule. Medical, dental and all the other good stuff!

There is rumours that we will start hiring in february for A300 FO's.

Any more questions? I would be happy to answer!!!

Regards,

Buzzdriver:)

Q for buzzdriver

Hey there, so how is the Emery hub doing these days.
I used to work for ICC (Idiots Carrying Cargo) Canada on the A300.
How is Emery doing, it's been almost 2 years since I got laid off there, it seemed like a pretty depressing place and getting worse then, especially after they lost the mail contract.
Is it any better?
I've been ot of touch with what happen to ICC, I guess they are completely toast now, and the buses went back to C/S.
Did you guys get any of them, or did tradewinds get them?
I pitty the company that got our old Alpha Bus, man that one was a piece of junk, Alpha floor going off on final, going from ground idle to flight idle after start and during taxi, and you had to run both packs just to keep a half decent temperature. That airplane should be turned into pepsi cans or something.
I see you guys and tradewinds in YYZ in the mornings, are the route shared or what?
Who is doing the mexico flights for Emery those were sweet lay overs, is it still the hombre's from Aero Union?
Ahhh the memories of flying in a cockpit where I was the only one that could speak English.
Oh well have to admit other than the horrible time of day to fly in it was the easiest flying job I've ever had.

BLEEDAIR,

The hub is the Hub...The weights has been up for the most part. Emery is Emery what can I say. Express.net and Ryan is now dominating the ramp and I think TDX has one or two buses on the ramp. WOA still doing the Europe trips. I agree with you flying nights are tough, but still it is the easiest job I also ever had.

I am sorry for you ICC guys, I know your company struggled for a long time and that the owner didnt help much, that it went downhill the fall of 01. No, we did not get your buses, I think TDX did??? Where did your bus drivers go?

I have not seen Scaero Union on the ramp for a while.

Did you Jumpseat with us to Seattle on a regular basis about 2 years ago? CYVR Based?

Regards,

Buzzdriver

Whats Captain pay over there? Is the pay different between the A-300 and B727 seats? Upgrade time? Are you usually gone for all of your 16 days? Any extras for working on days off etc.? Thanks for the info!

There are currently three ICC Airbuses (Airbii?) left of the Tradewinds maint. ramp (Along with a Vanguard DC9?).

Isn't Tradewinds doing the Canada runs once or twice per week in an ICC-marked A300?

Our bus drivers aren't doing too much as far as I know not too many have found work and of those that have few are in jets.
one went to Air Canada, one to Air jamacia, a few went to JAS Airways out of HNL, and a few are flying turboprops, and that would be it out of about 50 or so flight crew members.
The airline picture in Canada is terrible right now there is only one jet operator that is doing any serious hiring, everyone else is status quo or laying off.
I got a job flying a turboprop I used to fly 2 jobs ago, but it pays the bills and is better than unemployment.
No I wasn't the one who deadheaded to SEA with you I was YYZ based, that was probably Shawn (blonde guy) or Pork Chop (guy who would talk your ear off).
Good to hear loads a picking up a little for you, I always liked DAY, especially when we had time to go to the Buckhorn Taven for Ribs or the Hot Air Ballon.
Take it easy.
