Express Jet??

Does anyone know what the status of furlough recalls at Express Jet is (CoEx)???

It seems like they are very rapidly growing, any hiring predictions for the near future?? (I've heard something like 3 or 4 jets a month - they must be doing alright.?.)

I'll jump on this one. The latest word from CALALPA is recalls will begin sometime in 2Q 2003. The number recalled at that time will be fairly small. Hopefully more will follow before too long, but who knows?

This has been discussed in other threads that you might want to search, but the delivery of aircraft is due to firm orders placed a long time ago before all the current industry turmoil. That doesn't necessarily mean they will be flown - aircraft utilization (hours flown per day) is down on average already, and staffing is based on block hours, not aircraft in our fleet.

If you want to fly anything with CAL colors on it my advise is to go to gulfstream. See the post on the General page abut coex.
