I know an open ended question but any thoughts? Good to work for?....How's the company doing financially? Morale? etc....

it's so painfully obvious that you are not an experienced pilot. an experienced pilot would have misuse "to" and spelled Morale "moral". with that being said, don't loose and sleep over it, someday after flying many hours your writing skills will deteriorate too the proper leval to call yourself an errorline pilut.

nothing of value to say to your original question.

LOL. I see the sarcasm in the last sentence, but wonder if "loose" was supposed to be part of it.

Good to work for - Yes.
Finacially - Owned and run by SkyWest Inc. Better off financially than any other regional. Projected to gain a net profit of $35ish million in 2012 so we're making money too.
Morale- As good as it can be considering contract negotiations are ongoing.

I would choose either ExpressJet or SkyWest over any other regional airline.

What happens to new hires if Delta decides to park more -200s?
New hires are going to the ERJ, none have gone to the CRJ in quite a while. So it shouldn't effect new hires. Should the CRJ operation shrink prior to a joint contract and seniority list integration. Those guys will be offered the same deal our furloughs were. Come over to the ERJ on the bottom of the list, but they have a job. That is until the are recalled or seniority list integration is complete. Until then we are two separate pilot groups under two separate contracts.

Skip ExpressJet. Try SkyWest first. They are the favored child. You will also gain from the limited benefits of ALPA without paying union dues.

Ahh, gotcha. Was never quite clear on what would happen. So it'd be better to get on with ExpressJet prior to the lists being merged?

I've heard nothing about a CRJ furlough at all. I don't know if they are losing more flying on that side or not but there has been no mention of that happening. Should it happen and they come to the ERJ they keep their original date of hire when list integration finally takes place. They will still be above anyone hired after they were hired at ASA. This all depends on how they integrate too but this is just in general.

So would it be better... I don't know the answer to that. But as you know, seniority is EVERYTHING in the airlines. So get hired wherever you want as soon as possible. SkyWest or ExpressJet IMO. Had I gotten hired around 7 months earlier at XJT I would have been a captain for years. But since I wasn't hired then I just upgraded at around 6.5 years. I could have held CA just shy of 6yrs but bypassed for a while to hold IAH. Driving to reserve isn't bad at all, at-least under our contract (XJT). I may think different after years of it but I hope to move on by then.

oops, i stand corrected. you're a seasoned pylit. carry on aviator.

How much longer are the contracts on the CRJ's good for on the Delta side? Can Delta just suddenly park 200's or are they under contract for so many years?

Financially, were going down the s#$tter fast, loosing money by the millions, thanks to the Express jet side! Yes , I'm formally with ASA, the once profitable company.
You sure about that? You can't be because you're wrong. Losses had to do mainly with mx costs and some due to Inc. buying XJT too. But not just XJT.

Read the quarterly reports by INC. Expected to have a $30ish million dollar net profit in 2012. The ERJ is actually the more efficient there bud. Not that you have a clue though.

Really! A loss is a loss.Sure, some of it was due to the Inc. purchase and the normal growing pains that come with a merger. As a long time ASA'er, Ive seen nothing but profitability.Inc purchases a loosing company, and now were all spiraling down with you! And I do have a clue BUD! Unfortunately I can not reveal my sources but its scary how your MEC is blindly following the lead of you scheduling guru and wont even take the time to look at our PBS system in great depth which is needed to discover that it is an industry leading system.
We'll see about those net profits!
