Anyone know why the Express Jet employment link on their web page has disappeared? Current employees are unable to find it, right after 3rd quarter loss posted. Anyone?

Probably because they're looking at slower growth, so they're cutting costs, and doing the things that are necessary in this economic environment. Doom and gloomers are all around, but I see it as a natural business cycle. XJT has a good management team, but they are dealing with bad timing on the Branded start-up losing $$, CAL's new boss cutting costs (whipsawing) at the expense of quality, and the high fuel prices. Time will tell, but XJT is still a good place to work.

why do we even post this BS...the entire my regional vs. your regional is lame....

I think it goes "my POS bottom feeder regional can beat up your POS bottom feeder regional".

On a more serious note...spoke with a friend of mine over at Express last night and he said that the company is asking for voluntary furloughs.

Unless the oil bubble bursts we are looking at furloughs in June. The saying U = you better hope branded works out may be prophetic to say the least. expect the $hit to hit the fan around the time we move to terminal A.

YIKES!

It might be because RAH is taking over the flying?????? after all, RAH flies for less!!!!!

ACA/Independence was a great place to work as well. Wish you guys all the best, its a tough market out there!!

Maybe you need to understand that ACA/Indy NEVER ever even close to breaking a load factor of 60-70% right after starting up, XJT did and still does, granted some routes are lousy.

Trust me, it's a tough place out there for everyone, no matter what regional or others you work for. What and see what happens if oil prices don't come down. If prices of oil stays near where it is, I wish everyone the best of luck, including regionals, national, legacy, fractionals, etc.
