can anyone tell me how long excel training is...and where? buy the way, what is the wash-out rate for netjets pilot training anyway...?

Training is with FSI at one of three centers..TOL, CMH and Orlando. Takes about 13 days...don't know if anyone "washes out". If NJA hires a pilot, they must be capable or they wouldn't be here.

18 days (includes 2 travel days) of pure BLISS !

Can't imagine washing out of FSI. I've been 5 times, 3 for the N265 & twice for the SA227. The first time I went for the Saberliner, I only had 300 hrs. If you have 2500 hrs and pass the NJA sim eval, I'm pretty sure you can survive... But i guess it could happen.

Best of luck.

My sim partner in initial didn't make it, and yes, I did everything I could to help the person. Have heard of a couple of others not making it, but almost all do. My sim partner had just not flown for awhile and was real rusty.

Wrong answer... There are wash outs and there will probably continue to be wash outs. Just because you get hired doesn't mean you will make it through training.. Take nothing for granted..... Lost 3 guys out of my indoc class....

I think my assumption was that NJA's screening is so thorough all hired made it thru ok. Sorry that I'm wrong. The Excel is not as complex as the Falcon, don't know the other A/C types (except Ultra) at NJA

It goes back a few years, but I had a member of my Indoc wash out of Ultra training. It does happen.

I did too BUT he did it on purpose to get around the training contract payback...he was already typed, prior to getting hired at EJA, in the Ultra and went to a major. Got the call after sim training....just...couldn't....do...those...stalls. LOL
