With either a/c can any of you tell me how many hours you can fly with 6 pax out of a S.L. airport with 5000ft on a 30 C day. Thanks in advance.

60 can come out of there at around 21,900 at 27C. With a BOW of 15,100 (non-apu), 1200 pounds of payload and VFR reserves that should get you about 2+45 at .76

I ran it using Ultra-Nav and it came up with 21427 MTOW for the Lear 60.

Assuming a 15000 BOW bird, 1300 Lbs of Pax and stuff, that leaves you with 5147 lbs of fuel. Or good enough for about 2.5 with VFR reserves.

XL/XLS will depart at MGTOW.

6 Pax will yield a max fuel of about 6000# or 4+30 duration for takeoff @ .75M

4 hours + with 6 pax is a long time to be sitting int he back in the Excel.

Fly safe.

Yeah...but its a LOT more comfortable than a CJ3 and a lot more economical than most any other midsize (and all larger) airframes.

Yes, yes it is. The 4+30 number is what is in the tanks at startup. From that number, you need to subtract reserve fuel and any possible alternate fuel. Realistically, you could do a 3+30 flight with good weather, longer if you would want to do it at long range cruise.

Realistically, the XL is a 3.5 pax, full fuel plane at SL. The XL may have a small mid size cabin, but certainly doesn't have mid size range. Anything longer than 5,500' will give every other "mid" a 300-500 mile advantage.
