Does anyone know if Ari Ben has an examiner on staff or do they go w/ outside DPEs/FSDO?
Also, how difficult is it to schedule one and how much do they charge?

Thanks

They go with an outside DE or if you want the FSDO. As far as scheduling, I lucked out and was able to get one scheduled within 3 days but that was when they were considered to be "slow". On a normal basis i'm pretty sure you would need a week atleast. The DE I went through only charged me 300 for my multi/com/inst add on.

Is the middle of summer "slow" for them? I've gone with the Feds and the DPEs, would probably prefer the Fed (cost)
Did you do the 100 hour time building thing? Is it feasable to get the ME/MEI/MEII in about 3 weeks time along with 100 hours?

Thanks

I would think the middle of the summer would be fairly busy for them because everyone is out of school for the summer. Your best bet is to call and double check though. But don't be surprised if it's hard to get a hold of them because they're busy. It took me a few tries but they did return my phone calls a few days later.

Yeah I did the 100 hr plus my multi rating with all the add ons. I was there for almost 3 weeks and spent my first week working on my multi rating. It also took me a bit longer than most because I had to do an IPC as well so if you're instrument current/proficient I don't think it will take you more than 3 days. Ari will tell you 3 weeks is enough to do it all but in my opinion you should give yourself an extra week so you're not flying 10-12 hours a day. PM me if you want more info.
