Can anybody tell me if Evergreen lets you commute (or buy you a tickets) or do you have to live in the Northwest? Thanks

I thought the pilots were based out of JFK. Also heard from a former employee they would get a travel bank with x number of dollars to spend each month.

i just sent in my resume there for a summer internship! hopefully i'll get it, then i can tell you anything you want about evergreen!

All pilots are based at JFK, even though corporate HQ is in Oregon. I was told there's a travel bank, but that it's for excess return costs from when they need to airline you back to JFK at the end of your line. The example the FE that I talked to gave me was that he ends his line at ANC so they would buy him a ticket to the pilot base at JFK. But he lives in Omaha, so he asks them to buy him a ticket there instead, and they but the difference in his travel bank. He can then use the money from that bank to commute. I don't think he said they put any money into it each month.

I just hope they're still hiring a year from now.

Most of the pilots live all over. Several in ANC plus I heard of one that lives in Thailand.

As for hiring, it is my understanding that the airlines will be adding more airplanes in the near future and have several Captains retiring over the next couple years.
