What kind of speed schedule you use on departure and arrival (typical) e.i. 250/300/.78 ---

Thanks a lot....

At TSA we use 250/280/.78

My company does not give us any specific speed guidance for the EMB other than to say that we should use a speed consistent with the flow of traffic and yet still maintain a climb rate acceptable to ATC.

I typically will use 245 to 10,000, then 300 to 310 out of 10,000, which should give me about 1,300 to 1,500 fpm initially, tapering down to about 1,000 fpm through the 20's. Once above about FL 310, the engines' FADECs give us a bit more thrust and we should be able to maintain 1,200 to 1,600 fpm at M.76 or so all the way to FL 370, our ceiling.

We'll usually cruise at about M.77 and our max is M.78.

Hope this helps. Cheers.

240kt to 8000 250kt to 10000. ( XR 250kt to 10K) Above that most select 1000fpm and we get about 310-330 KIAS and in the 20's and the 30's its about .76 in the climb. as far as cruise we do max, which is .78 and .8 mach in the XR model. Sure beats the pants off the CRJ in the climb. Again you can pretty much do what you want but most people go for the forward speed vs. Climb rate.

I've found it's a good idea to follow the FLC climb schedule if you're stretching the a/c's legs. Get high, then go fast. Not that we fly long legs in this "regional" jet.

330? that ding-ding-ding would get annoying after a while, wouldn't it?
I was using ballpark figures. Its usually closer to 310-319. you can a liittle faster in smooth air. as far as the FLC goes, it gets annoying as the AC tries to chase the speed.
