Tell me about the ERJ Cockpit

I know its EFIS

How many tube?

Dual FMS ? or single???

any other info would be great. Any online sites about the ERJ???

PilotRon,

The ERJ uses a Honeywell Primus 1000 system. It is the same system used in the Citation X.

It is composed of:

1. Five 8"x7" CRT displays (2 Primary Flight Displays, 2 Multi Function displays, and 1 EICAS)

2. Two Radio Management Units (RMU)

3. One or Two Honeywell or Universal FMS (depending on company specs)

Go to www.embraer.com , click on Aircraft, ERJ 145, and Avionics. There you can roll your mouse over the picture of the panel to get a closer look.

Citation X uses Primus 2000, same as the DO328

The 1000 is almost the same, but the 2000 is AIRINC Std.

Ok Puss ball, i have seen an old 727 cockpit like that before.... maybe you could buy one, put it in your living room and buzz around in it....

I guess you have never seen such a beautiful cockpit like the ERJ.. I know your gonna meantion the A320 right? lol ohhhh i know you too well grasshopper...

Okay....so it looks nice. But it also looks a bit cramped. But then again, if the pax are going to be cramped, why not the crew?

Notice I'm talking like I have a job on a better a/c....I can dream, right?
