THIS IS MY FIRST POST AND I WAS WONDERING WHAT EVERYBODY THOUGHT ABOUT THE NEW FIRST OFFICER FLIGHT TRAINING PROGRAM THAT EMBRY RIDDLE HAS STARTED. YOU GO THERE WITH YOUR COMMERCIAL MULTI AND YOUR BACHELORS DEGREE AND SPEND FOUR MONTHS FLYING, TAKING JET GROUND SCHOOLS, AND JET SIMULATORS. THIS WAS ONE OF MY OPTIONS AND THE OTHER WAS MESA AIRLINES PACE PROGRAM. I BELIEVE THE ONLY TROUBLE WITH MESA'S PROGRAM IS WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN WITH THE LABOR DISPUTES. THE FOFT PROGRAM HAS BRIDGE AGREEMENTS WITH 5 AIRLINES SO FAR WITH ANOTHER FOUR IN NEGOTIATIONS. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP

Head over to AllATPs, too. Look at the various posts on this site and www.jetcareers.com for more information. Visit the schools, then decide how much $$$ you want to spend and how high your loan payments will be while earning $1200 per month on your first job out of flight training.
Good Luck!

Honestly with the sorry state of the airline industry right now, and your low time... I would save my money and try to find a job CFIing...

you may wanna start off by turning off the caps...gonna loose yer medical if you keep stressing like this

from what I've read here, with the industry the way it is right now, you're probably better off at a small time school

use the search a bit, tons of helpful info

curiosity

What is ERAU asking ($) for this first officer program? Do you actually get to fly a jet or just the sim?

Riddle P-F-T

Well, for one thing, people believe this program to be a Pay-For-Training scheme. Read this thread from last year for a full discussion of this "program."

As Falcon Capt. wrote above, if you have money to burn, you'll get far more mileage from it by earning your CFI. What people seem to forget about these bridge program is they are predicated on the airline(s) in question hiring. Most airlines are not hiring. If they're not hiring they have no need for bridge/P-F-T graduates. Therefore, you could go through training and your skills could be honed to a fine edge but it could be forever before you go to class. During that time, while you should be flying, your skills will erode. In fact, you might want to get your CFI during that time so you can work and fly, which some people might regard as paying twice. If you have your CFI, you can be flying, building experience, and earning some money. I realize the CFI job market is also tight, but I'd submit your chances for finding work will be better sooner as a flight instructor.

I'd avoid the Mesa PACE program. Mesa has operated this program, in one form or another, for years. It is pay-for-interview. No guarantees.

Good luck with your decision.
