ERAU Dis. Learning
Okay got a question. Haven't taken a class for over a year (at ERAU)and when I talked to my advisor today she said that proctors are no longer needed. So how do you take the test now? I assume it's open book or what. Just curious as to how it works now. Thanks

The testing is all online, and timed. I think one of my upcoming midterms is 40 questions in 2 hours, with nobody looking over your shoulder. In your browser cut, copy, paste, and screen capture are inhibited. It is stated that the exams are technically not open-book.

The time limit is to presumably limit your ability to just look up the answers. Most courses will kick your arse if you don't know the material and know the book well. Even with a book in front of you, ya can't even cheat effectively if you can't find the answer. Either way, the time limit is tight and I feel the pressure. Take the dog out, turn off the phone, and isolate yourself.

It seems in general that testing is weighted less heavily now (60%ish), with homework, discussion, and papers taking up the slack.
Long story short, I'm still concerned about this weeks midterms:puke:
