What can anyone tell me about teaching with ERAU in colorado springs with the Air Force Academy? Pay, multi time, etc....

Thanks

ERAU

My info is a bit old, but Riddle used to pay on the low end of the CFI scale but you got lots of flight time, guarantied students, and a good working environment. Something to be said for teaching aviation geeks who really want to be aviators versus computer geeks who realy just have too much money and time on there hands.

Pros and cons, like anything else. The multi time info I would know is for ERAU in AZ and the courses are not the same. Good luck!

Like Newbee was saying, its about the same pay that you start out to just a little lower, but you will be booked solid with students. Also in CO... if you ski... then a plus. As far as multi in Psct, or Dab..... its about a 2 to 3 year wait to upgrade to the multi (last i heard).

Last I heard there would be no multi time if you took the job in Colorado Springs. All they had were the Diamond aircraft and the contract was only for a single private pilot license. Nothing else. My friends who instructed at PRC were very happy and the multi upgrade now is around 1 year for a few friends at PRC as opposed to as little as 4 months a few years back.
