Hello-

Looking for information on Empire Airlines.

Do they hire directly into the F-27 or do you have to go to the Caravan first?

What is their pay scale for Captains and F/O's?

How long to get based in one of their Alaskan domociles? ANC? JNU?

Any plans on future hiring? Should I walk in to the offices in upper Idaho?

Thanks for any information.

Depends on if you have a big need to log some F-27 time as SIC at typical SIC pay scales. If they have have a Caravan position open and you need a job, I wouldn't pass it up.

If you hire in right seat in the Fokkers, you'll probably make the typical 18,000 bucks a year. Fly about 4 hours a day. Sit right seat for a long time.

If you hire in on the Caravans, you'll start at 32,750 or so. If you put your time in the van, you can cross over at a later date, taking your Caravan Captain pay with you to the right seat of the Fokker.

That's the way it's done at the feeders.
