Does anyone out there have hamstring problems sitting in the EMJ. I can't stop the burning after an hour. I've thought about brining a hemorrhoid pillow to sit on. I just want the pain to go away. If it get's any worse I'll apply to Union Pacific and drive a train across the country. They need people.

How tall are you? I am 6'3 oh boy is this what I have to look forward to?

I actually did have that problem, my right hamstring would get tight and start to burn on longer legs. I thought it was from running or working out. I later found out from a friend that had the same problem that sitting on your wallet for a period of time pinches some nerve and causes that pain. (Not that my wallet is very fat being an FO on an Embraer). However, I always take it out and put it in my kit bag and I have not had the pain since. Hope that helps..

Union Pacific pay:

Pay
As a newly hired Train Crew employee, you can expect to earn about $40,000 a year. As you advance to Conductor and Locomotive Engineer positions, you can earn up to $75,000 a year. Your actual pay will depend on location and Union-negotiated agreements.
