Wondering what the CAPT "piston flight specialist" instructors at ERAU are getting paid? Is it a good place to work? Would that be a good job while working on higher degrees through Embry Riddle?
Thanks!

I doubt 40k a year. com'on

Does anyone know if they fall under the same union as Daytona Beach instructors?

I'm not sure what they pay at the Daytona Beach campus, but I would imagine 30k is possible, and maybe even 40, but you'd work your arse off!

As I see it, any CFI gig that is salaried is already above average by default, that would make college aviation about the best gig you can find out there, with the addition of the tuition remittance for kicks. At least those are the jobs I'll be shooting for once I get my CFI.....

oh, as for the salary, I don't think they're making that much though, highest I've heard was 1750/mo at SIUC salaried, most other colleges around there too, ERAU maybe 2000-2200/mo but I haven't been able to get the intel on it... ...still, beats the heck of the hourly gig any day and twice on sunday IMO
