My degree through this program cost under $10,000, including a laptop. I earned credit for my certificates and took the max allowed number of courses transferable through community colleges that had distance learning classes. Each distance learning class was $33 ($11 per unit).
The $10,000 I quoted above included taking classes at community colleges while also working on the Embry Riddle classes. Instead of taking a required general education class for $162 a unit, I signed up for the local community college distance learning class for $11 a unit. Just don't take any Embry Riddle classes that you can take elsewhere for less. Only take the aviation-specific classes from them. Take all general education classes through a community college. Buy your books used (there is a website for this). Then resell them when you are done. You'll save a ton of money.
Besides, where else can you get a degree for less than $10,000? I went to USC as well and you can't even get a semester for that...
Hey scubabri, do all your general ed classes at a local community college, this will save you alot of cash. After you get your A.S. transfer to ERAU distant campus and finish your B.S. for 164 a credit unit. By the time you completer all this you will have enough hours to get the 36 credits (provided you get your ATP) so you will be able to finish the B.S. for well under 10K. Good luck! and if you have any questions, fell free to ask.
