Howdy Y'alls,

From what I gather, FAT and PSP are the most junior Bro bases. Is this true? How long can I expect to be on reserve and how long is the current upgrade on the 120? How long might it take to get PDX or MRY as an FO? Thanks for the info,

Cubano

Title should read: Skywest EMB Bases

There are currently 19 FOs in PDX, 8 of whom are seat locked, and an additional 1 has been awarded a jet class. 6 FOs currently have it as their first choice. I would guess 6-8 months

There are currently 7 FOs in MRY, 4 of whom are seat locked. 1 FO currently has it as his first choice. I would guess 2-6 months.... however there is a good chance MRY could close in the next year due to UAL pulling down the EMB LAX flying.

FAT and PSP should both be available to you right out of training. I've heard you can legally drive a golf cart on city streets in PSP.... so they have that going for them.... which is nice.

The current batches of upgrades were here almost exactly a year from DOH to CA class. Remember you need 2500 tt and 1000 crew to upgrade.

We're currently short on EMB FOs so reserve shouldn't last long in the junior domiciles

forgot to mention in the above post- seat lock is 1 year, and the significance of # of seatlocked FOs is they are likely to transition (and get out of your way) as they hit the 1 year mark. .

Chinch bugs...manganese...not a lot of people about know that

Excellent info amigo! I am coming from another 121. Just couldn't handle all the crypto-fascist imagery at my current employer.

Do you have a class date?

Have you been awarded the EMB?

(just curious as some 121 guys in the past were not given the option of taking an EMB class)

Class date of the 7th in the EMB which I was surprised about as well. However, I have both turboprop and jet experience so its all the same to me. From what I understand they are trying to just fill the closest class rather than place based on airframe. It seems as if they are having less trouble filling classes though.

SLC is a much bigger base (43 fos), and I think 6 months is usually about what it takes to get in on the bro.
