Does anyone know what the EMB-170 in Embraer house colors was doing in DTW at Signature today?? Anyone here work that side of the field???

Trying to sell them.

Monday, I believe they will have salesmen, pilots and flight attendants available for questions from interested parties..........at least that's what the memo said Friday.

It looked like a pretty nice airplane from the short visit I had. The cockpit was set up very nice. The avionics looked good, eicas, system synoptic pages, highly automated, etc.. The Embraer pilots said certification was still on track for next month. I think they are going to sell a bunch of them.

I don't know the particulars about DTW but the EMB170 has been kinda touring the country recently. I know it was in JFK for two days last month for JB showings and tours. That is because the EMB190 is not made yet but one can get the idea from the 170 as they are very similar. We also have it going to LGB next week I think for another show.

I would suspect this is all part of a sales program for potential customers. Just a guess of course.

See ya

One of these was on the ramp in front of Addison Express last night. Even had "Experimental 0004" printed just right of the main cabin door.

Don't know why it was parked at Addison, we're not an airliner airport. *shrug*
