I am trying to jumpseat from ORD-JAX this week on an XJT EMB-145. The flight is pretty full and I was wondering how likely that it would be weight restricted. I'm not familiar with the range of the -145 with a full load.

The block time is scheduled at 2:17.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Any weather in JAX requiring a lot of extra fuel would be your major headache. There's several variants of the 145 and some are a lot worse than others when it comes to being weight restricted.

Should not be a problem with either our LR's(all of them are weight modded) or XR's. Both can carry plenty of weight, even with an alternate. I cant remember the last time I was actually weight restricted.

Question...

Does XJ have any EP/ERs?

Yes, about 20 of the 200 aircraft are EPs and if you're going from Houston to some Podunk town in LA, AL, MS, or West Texas you may find yourself on one. They are usually restricted to 48. A couple of kids will solve the problem.

Also they only operate out of IAH, none in Ewr, cle or ORD.
