Hey dudes,

those of you using some sort of PDA to keep track of your flight time what are you using for the logbook shell and paper? Are you just buying a general leather binder and printing on legal paper or is there something that is out there a little more professional?

This subject may have been covered before but just please answer the Q.

thanks.

Not a bad deal at $30.

But on a budget there's DSSLog Pilot's Logbook for Palm OS®

Anybody try this?

With the risk of sounding real dumb.....What do you do with an electronic logbook when you need a sign off or something?? Or is an electronic logbook only really worth it for airline type guys who fly loads and loads.......but not really for CFI's who still need the odd sign off or so??

good question. in my opinion, it's for the guy who flies a lot and wants to keep up on the road with a PDA. Some of them do calculations for you and let you know when your currencies are up. Might be worth it, even for a CFI.

Also, some of them link to software on your computer. You should still probably keep a paper logbook too but this is a backup.

Guys,

Maybe you misunderstood the question, I already have an electronic logbook on my PDA. For those of you printing your logbooks from your PDA what kind of binder and paper are you using? Thanks

I use the Logbook Pro software and MGOent's binder and paper. There is a sale this month in fact if you read the banner on the far left. Here is the link to NC Software's Logbook Pro site concerning the binder products:

It's kind of hard to answer your question because the underlying question is "how do you print your PDA data?" What format, etc. If using Logbook Pro, then definitely the MGOent. products as Logbook Pro's reports are designed specifically for this. The new reports in their latest release (1.9.6.5) are outstanding!
