Electra sighting at KYIP

Someone has pulled one of the old Zantop L-188's out of the scrap heap and put it back together, with D-501's and Aero Product props. The guy in tower told me they are planning to fly it out of KYIP in the next couple of weeks. anyone know anything about this?

IMHO, anything that would lead to the preservation of those grand old
planes is a GOOD THING! Best of luck to whoever's behind it.....

I heard it fly over my house the other day, a blast from the past for sure. Looks like a new C-reg and it was headed to Winnipeg. I think that is where 290F went a month or so ago.
