Well folks it appears that EJM is on a sudden upswing in hiring....I'm curious to hear from any of you that might have been interviewed or hired by them in the past 6 months...

From the NJA pilot's perspective this appears to be a replacement pilot hiring...

I have no beef with you charter guys but anyone hired by EJM who actually performs work for Netjets during a job action in my little opinion would be strike busting....Many have another term but I don't want this thread to go there...

I'm mainly interested in what if any information new or present EJM folks are being told etc...

I have no real info but it looks as though the single carrier appeal may be happening prior to any job action...That would really end the gray area of strikes and busting them...

We are experiencing true Union Busting tactics by our management now....I hope that we all watch CNN on the 30th and 1st of May as the business news might pick up a story or two....I sure hope so....

If you enjoy watching turmoil then the next few months should be lovely for you...Personally I enjoy a bit of it...Makes the blood flow better...

Just curious, but would pilots be hired onto aircraft they are currently flying (or on airplanes for which they have type ratings) or would they be trained on specific aircraft (even if they had no experience on type)? I thought pilots are basically hired onto a specific aircraft and then they sit with that owner (although managed by EJM)... Are there specific bases for EJM?

looks as if your boss is taking a page from the "regional airline CEO's handbook"

chapter 4:

"when the labor groups start to grumble of pay and working conditions, relax until mediation and a strike looms. Then start up an alter ego carrier to supplement the main flying in efforts to lessen the impact of a strike. Have no worries of an actual strike, because you have all the bargaining power. Instead of having to increase pay and QOL for your pilots you just sell them a package deal of "all-inclusive" brand scope and combine the lists of the two carriers as part of the package for job security. They will greedily take this opportunity for short upgrades and advancement over long term earnings potential and dignity."
