[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]I heard a rumor that a female probie recently failed a probie checkride and was fired. It happens that her father is a AA 777 Captain and was not happy. They filed a lawsuit against Eagle and claim that they have evidence she was fired just to make room for flowbacks. Now she is in training at Pinnacle.

First off, this is completely third hand and unvalidated. Just want to see if anybody out there knows or has heard the same thing. Second, Eagle probably did her a big favor.

See what happened is that she didn't go to DCA, so was not really prepared for a real job........ Does everythig you say have to be BS?

Making someone go to Pinnacle is no favor.

Seeing how the ALPA Eagle guys aren't really welcoming the flowbacks with open arms, I doubt that was the reason she was failed.

Looks like a high overcast.
Better ask for Type IV.

There's more rumors in aviation than a sewing circle. Be wary about what you believe. I haven't heard anything about this, but then again, I can't stand hearing rumors. I also suggest not repeating rumors. If everyone did that....

PS - Rhoid = Training

If its true, and that's a major "if", she could be fired for any reason during the probationary year.

That said, Eagle isn't firing low-cost, first-year turbo-prop first officers, to replace them with relatively high-cost, 15-year former TWA pilots, that work in the left seat of an RJ.

It's cheaper to keep her.
