Many of you have seen the new site www.Letter3.org and your fellow pilots who started the site appreciate your support!

The goals of the site are to:

1. Educate the pilots about the finer points of Letter 3. We don't pretend to have all the answers or even the most accurate ones. We encourage any Eagle pilot that can help all of us to gain more insight to email us at [email protected].

2. Help pilots see through the FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) that AA, AE, and APA are throwing at us. That is not to say that we'll only have good things happen to us if we successfully fight off the unilateral changes to Letter 3, but each pilot MUST balance management's rhetoric with their past actions. They don't want the displacements anymore than the rest of us regardless of the threats. But the solution should be a negotiated repsonse.

3. For no other reason than the principle of it, defend our contract so that it still means something in the future.

We need all pilots to get involved by assertively asking mgmt, union leaders, AA pilots and our friends in the crew rooms specific questions about why Eagle pilots and ALPA were left out of the negotiations. We need to do it in an honest and professional manner worthy of respect.

We also need everyone to keep an eye out for any documents, letters, emails, forum postings, etc....that give us a look at what is going on behind the scenes that may be helping us or hurting us. We have a right to know all of these activities since it is our lives and careers at stakes.

We also want to avoid creating "what if" scenarios that are aimed at molding pilot opinion. We only want to get the facts out, add some commentary when helpful (e.g., breaking down Letter 3 paragraph by paragraph), and then encourage our pilots to make their own conclusions. If we get it wrong we want to know as there is NO political agenda with the site.

Thanks again for the support! Check back frequently, especially the "What's New" link.www.letter3.org
