Gotta an interview with Eagle coming up, it is my only interview right now. I would like to get one from Mesa aswell. If I do get an offer from Eagle I have to take it, but what if Mesa calls around the same time. Any advice is appreciated. Is Eagle better than Mesa? I know upgrade will be much quicker at Mesa.

Are you freaking kidding me? Betweeen the two do you HAVE to ask that? Look at some of the posts here!!!!!
ACA was their last chance! :)

Without a doubt go to Mesa!!! Go where the upgrade time is the least. You have to think of yourself. All of that union solidarity crap everyone spouts along with a token might get you on a subway the next time you are in NYC.

Go Mesa without second thought. You will be a first officer at Eagle forever with the upgrade times currently in place. The 1900/Dash upgrades at Mesa are quick so just depends what seat you want to occupy. All the bullsh!t about Mesa disregard, it is mostly from guys that are "stuck" in one place and ain't goin anywhere anytime soon. It is comical thought to read some of the posts.!!

I think the better question is, "do you want to be a disenchanted FO stuck in pergatory or a miserable CA watching the sunrise over the Rockies liv'n the dream?"

Tailwinds...

Does anyone know how employment works with Eagle? Do you have to sign a contract or anything? If I take a job at eagle will I have an out if someone else offers me an interview?

No training contract, just give them 2 weeks and you should be fine. I had the same problem back in 99 had a class at Eagle and at Mesa. Eagle at the time was a better option. Well things change. you will make more as a Eagle Jet FO then a 1900 CA almost as much as a DCH CA. I just did not want to comute out of some small outstation at Mesa. And I was already flying a 19 seat aircraft. Eagle is hiring 40 a month for hte next 2 years so getting in now is the key at Eagle but a estimate and upgrade at Eagle would be atleast 4 years for prop and 6 for Jet. Good luck.
