Heard it from an Eagle captain I ran into. He sounded pretty sure of himself, and there is something on APC about it as well.

So...is it true? I thought they were critically understaffed and were hiring people with very little experience. What gives?

Baba Booey! Baba Booey! Howard Stern's penis! Baba Booey! Baba Booey!

True, all Eagle hiring as stopped. Possible furloughs to follow as we remove 40+ aircraft from the line.

but really, how bad can it be if you wind up getting furloughed from eagle anyway? You will probably earn more working at Home Depot and you get to sleep in your own bed.

Isnt this true of any regional? Regionals are not a career places for most. I spent a year and a half at Eagle, they made me more hireable to the job I have right now which is paying me 150K a year with no taxes.

Is there a flow down with AA at Eagle?

This is one of the dumbest things I've read on here in awhile. Eagle is one of the shortest rsv and better paying regionals out there.

That's like saying a $hit sandwich is tastier than a turd burger. Their pay sucks.
Actually their pay does not really suck. When I left there as a second year FO I was on pace to make 45K, plus per-diem. Not saying it was great, but not really sucking either.
(and I was working three days on four days off, so my QOL was pretty good)

If Amercan furloughs again will those pilots have a right to bump down and displace Eagle captains?

No, that agreement was known as Letter 3, it expired on May first.

Unless it can support a massive coke habit combined with a strong penchant for prostitues; I'm taking my skills elsewhere!

Couldn't agree more. Plus being short pilots allows a lot of open time to pick up if you wanted to make some extra cash. If I wanted a career that made a ton of money I wouldn't of chose this one. Money doesn't bring you happiness. SIU where you at now?

I think being furloughed by Skyway was the best thing that could have happened to me. I'm making more than double than I was as a second year F.O. in the Beech, I'm in my own bed almost every night. I am still getting 14 days off, 70 hours of turbojet PIC/month. In my opinion you guys can have that regional flying I was miserable in it. LewisU I hope you miss out on the furloughs that are going on everywhere but if you don't give me a call.
