Word on the street is that Eagle Jet Charters is going to be running 2 EMB-120's and an ATR 72 out of DFW. I recently received a job posting from AIR INC. and a mech pal has an interview next week for a postion with Eagle Jet. Who are they feeding for, where are they going, anyone know???

Here's the word from UPS management:

The contracts for all UPS DFW runs are up for bid, both Eagle Jet and Ameristar are HOPING to win some of the contracts for the heavier runs out of west Texas, HOWEVER, the award of these bids to either of these companies is UNLIKELY, due to their inability to feed the smaller routes, and provide additional carrying capacity outside of scheduled runs.

Ameriflight has a proven positive track record with UPS, they are the BIGGEST UPS feeder in the country. With the west Texas SA-227 crews currently in training for the EMB-120, it is highly unlikely that ANY company can compete with them due to their ability to provide UPS with various airframes to suit the requirements of UPS. What I mean by this is that UPS isn't always counting on just a SA-227 to carry boxes from DFW to SPS. Eagle Jet and Ameristar do not have the small aircraft availability for the right price that UPS contracts with outside of scheduled operations.

Best wishes to all companies attempting to win these contracts, however, because of Ameriflights diverse fleet of aircraft, it seems impossible for any company with simply one type aircraft to compete.

aha! so thats the reason that the Saab rumor is so rampant over at MRA...i belive MRA was told by UPS that they (UPS) didnt want AMF to be the only ones with previously mentioned capabilities ;)

That will teach me

Hey guys,

I didn't write that post. I am a dispatcher and unknowingly was still logged in when I left the office for a while. Evidently one of the crew members decided to reply without logging me out and logging himself in. I just hope that post was the only thing I am going to get blamed for that I didn't do. That will teach me to leave a terminal without logging out. You can bet it won't happen again.

You are right I don't have enough time to be flying for them which is why I am dispatching.

Oh by the way, we do have to charter some runs but are NOWHERE near chartering more than we fly (at least since I've been here)

Happy Trails

WUSSS????

AMFTeamster:

Please, you're crying any sympathy does very little for revenue. Are you on the team, or just on the team so long as the checks are being cashed? Buck up little buckarooo, do YOUR job, and be satisfied that check clears on pay day.

Your crying for "fairness" has ZERO sympathy with all of us who are ON the team, and attempting to provide a service to a well paying customer.

you sound like AMF management. You don't even have enough flight time to even fly for the company. Your niave opinions are typical of AMF management. Your head is so far up your own arse that you can't even smell the sh!t.

Any chance this guy could post something useful, other than the fact he has made it clear in every one of his posts that he doesn't like Amflight's management? I don't think anyone cares anymore and the posts are getting to be quite humorous.

AMF might have aircraft capabilities, but they are lacking in the management end. They can't handle the UPS contract in a manner that is satisfactory to the customer.
False

They are chartering more flights than they are flying themselves due to poor MANAGEMENT and mx.
False

UPS sees this happening and realizes that it can get a more capably company to do the job for less.
False

Anything else??
