Out of IND, I hear SLC and ATL.......

I'd like to see where a 170 would park in ATL. It sure as he!! isn't going to fit in the connection gates at C or D, and the day a regional parks at A or B would be the end of the world as far as Delta is concerned.

Probably, and sadly, wherever the 737-200 parks now.

Agree. I would think Delta would work us out of the T,A,B,or D gates. (If there is any mainline DAL left on "D") Just like in CVG Mainline Delta works us (CHQ) and ASA; as Comair only works themselves. It's will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

Funny, all last month when I was in CVG we were handled by Comair agents both below and above wing.

<<<<<<<<<Hopeing for ATL base>>>>>>>>>>>>

That would be the only thing to top all the regional world I just came into as of late '04

Senior F.O. in the 170
No Reserve
Weekends off
Late Starts
Early finishes
15-17 days off a month

To top it all off would be a base for the 170 in ATL

Please God Please

When flying into CVG I always so The ATR's and the CHQ's E145's part at the Delta Terminal and not the Comair "C" gates

And I'm saying that just because they park at the A concourse does not mean that they are serviced by mainline agents. Maybe when you finish training and start IOE you'll figure that out.

ATRs also haven't flown to CVG for a couple years.

I know that. I worked for ASA for 4 years myself. Don't treat me like i'm something new. Get off your hype

With +-400 RJ's already, I think the end of the world is near for DL

They sure have a lot of RJ Carriers flying for them.

How about on mainline routes flown by mainline pilots...

HMM

Don't worry, theres been other 70 seaters doing that for years now on the Delta side, among others. This one just looks better.

Move on.

OK, to come away from the thread hijack and answer the question, the E170 will be based in CMH, and will begin with SLC service on or about Aug 1. Beyond that the plans are not set in stone, however, what we have heard from DL is that they will be deployed on 2 hour plus stages that will benefit from the premium product not available on the CRJ. (read 732 replacement)

The initial deployment will be one planer each from CMH and IND, growing to 3 planes from CMH in September, and more from there. No news as to a possible base out west. The overnight MX line is being set up in CMH now in the old NWA hangar, with heavy to likely follow soon..

In CVG, A concourse gates A4-A22 (regional gates at A concourse) are serviced by Comair. Customer Service agents at those gates are Comair employees also.

You forgot two things. If you stay in the right seat you'll never make more than $34 bucks and hour. If you become one of those "instant wonder" PIC's calling themselves "captain", you get to fly it for $58 bucks an hour.

Tell us how good it is and how nice it makes you feel to work in the red light district.

If you stay in the right seat you'll never make more than $34 bucks/hr.
If you get one of those instant upgrades to PIC and begin to call yourself "captain", you'll make all of $58 bucks/hr.

Tell us how good that is and how nice you feel working in the red light district.

Thanks for clearing that up.
Good to know.

Is it really that bad??? That's horrible!!!

BTW- This is my first time seeing these rates.

-Bows down to the almighty Comair God-

Surplus1, you can't bash a guy at RAH for upgrading quickly (if qualified) and getting paid a lower pay rate based on his low company longevity. The 70 seat rates at RAH are not the greatest, but they are industry average. Not as high as Comair, but average. If you are going to bash EMB170Pilot, you need to include yourself and anyone who has ever swung gear at a regional/commuter.

And thats from the guy who just voted himself a two year pay freeze.
