I heard a Shuttle America E170 on the tower freq in Miami tonight declare an emergency for a nose gear indication. Is this a common problem for that aircraft?

Hey RightTraffic, is that a Merlin Express metro III in your avitar?

I saw that one in Dulles, they did a great job. We were getting marshalled into the C gates and we saw the 170 go by on its nose. Not something I want to see again anytime soon.

The fact is they had a steering fail upon gear extension, which for some is common on this plane happens alot!! not sure how the final report on the one in iad came out but they took the nose gear back to the manufacturer for inspection The pilots on that plane did a great job 3 days later it was patched and sent to bna for repair and is flying fine now

Its IBC Airways based out of MIA

Ah...paint job looked similar...could've been one of thier old ones I suppse. They used to have ops down there before they folded.
