Hello all.
Where does your duty day start? Show time/report time? Hotel lobby?
FAA 125 ops states that we must have 8hours off in 24, but does not specify where it starts.
Thank you

In our operations manual, 1 hour before scheduled TO and 30 mins after landing.

You might be able to get away with less, what ever your POI accepts/Approves.

"Duty" has been interpreted as "any obligation to the company," however you can exclude travel that's local in nature...based on that you can do the math and decide when/where your duty starts. Also read paragraph b of 125.37 and look at your ops specs to make sure it is actually 8 hours for your company.

When's the last time you took a .287 check? Who was it with?

OK, if your ops manual states 1 hour prior, and you are at a hotel on your day 2 of 4, and departure is 1500L, do you show at 1400L at the hotel lobby or you have to be at the ramp by that time?

Thanks for the reply.
